Marc Thomas

Schönholzer, M.Sc.

Academic background: Marc holds a B.Sc. in biology and first joined the lab in 2018 as an M.Sc. student in cancer biology, completing his master's thesis in 2019. He then worked on several projects in the public and private sectors before enrolling in the Cancer Biology Ph.D. Program at the University of Zürich in April 2024.

Research interests: Marc investigates the cellular effects of small-molecule compounds and contributes to developing image-based, high-throughput approaches for assessing therapeutic effects on cell phenotype. He also studies how the subcellular localization of proteins involved in motility and invasion relates to their function in motile tumor cells.
