The Thomas and Doris Ammann Foundation
Founded in 2021, the Thomas and Doris Ammann Foundation continues the legacy of two remarkable siblings whose passion for art and philanthropy left a lasting mark.
In 1977, Thomas Ammann established the renowned gallery Thomas Ammann Fine Art AG in Zurich. Within a few years, he became one of the most influential art dealers of his generation, maintaining close relationships with leading contemporary artists and collectors.
After Thomas’s passing in 1993, his sister Doris Ammann took over the gallery and successfully led it with art historian Georg Frei. In her will, Doris directed that the gallery’s art collection be transferred to a charitable foundation — giving rise to the Thomas and Doris Ammann Foundation in 2021.
